Designer: Abdulla Mohamed Al Maainah
Symbolism: The flag consists of four colors: red, green, white, and black. These colors represent Arab unity and are known as the Pan-Arab colors. Red represents bravery and strength, green stands for hope, joy, and love, white symbolizes peace and honesty, and black represents the defeat of enemies.
- Pantone colours: Green, White, Red, Black
- Aspect ratio: 1 : 2
- Hanging protocol: The flag is typically hung horizontally with the red vertical stripe on the hoist side (left), and the green, white, and black horizontal stripes from top to bottom.
- Design pitfall: A common mistake is to reverse the flag horizontally, placing the red stripe on the right side instead of the left.
