Facts about the flag of Uruguay
Date adopted: 11 July 1830
Designer: Joaquín Suárez

- Pantone colours: Blue, White, Yellow
- Aspect ratio: 2 : 3
- Hanging protocol: The flag of Uruguay is typically hung with the white and blue stripes horizontal, and the Sun of May in the upper hoist-side corner.
- Design pitfall: Sometimes the flag is mistakenly hung with the Sun of May in the lower fly-side corner or with vertical stripes instead of horizontal.
