Date adopted: 9 February 1985
Designer: Her Majesty's College of Arms
Symbolism: The flag features a red St. George's cross with a smaller gold cross within it, symbolizing Guernsey's historical ties to England and the Duchy of Normandy. The gold cross was added to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth II in 1985 and represents the island's loyalty to the Crown.
