Facts about the flag of Belarus
Date adopted: 7 June 1995
Designer: Mikhail Husyev
Symbolism: The red and green colors are traditional colors of Belarus, with red symbolizing the past struggles and victories, and green representing hope and the future. The white and red ornament pattern on the hoist side is a traditional Belarusian design.
